AION 2 is NCSOFT's free-to-play MMORPG sequel, built on Unreal Engine 5 and set 200 years after the Tower of Eternity fell — it launched in Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025, and globally on October 5, 2026 at 13:00 UTC on PC via Steam and NCSOFT's PURPLE platform.

Your "build" in Aion 2 is the combination of your class (one of eight at global launch), your skill loadout including equippable Stigma skill enhancements, and your gear with its enhancement levels.

Details

Every character starts as an Adventurer and specialises later; classes are not locked to faction or gender — both Elyos and Asmodians can play all eight classes.

A ninth class, the Brawler, exists in the Korean and Taiwanese service but is not part of the global launch roster.

Early Steam reviews were mixed (around 62% positive in the first days), with much of the debate centred on the monetisation model.
